Elementary
The Elementary Program carefully preserves the joys of childhood while challenging children in age-appropriate ways. Teachers find the spark that will ignite each child’s curiosity and sense of achievement.
In Kindergarten and grades 1-2, active learning continues to connect personal experience to the larger world. Children ask how things work; teachers ask ‘How did you solve that problem?’
Faculty and staff recognize that children develop at different rates and possess personal learning styles. Students move along the continuum of learning with new concepts introduced at an appropriate pace.
An integrated curriculum includes mathematics, science, language arts, reading comprehension, creative writing, oral presentation, social studies, foreign language, multi-cultural studies, music, physical education, library, and computer literacy. This diverse foundation prepares them for the critical and independent thinking they will need to be successful as older students.
