Private Pre-K
Our pre-kindergarten program provides a safe and healthy environment for children to learn and grow. Our program respects and values the differences between each child. Teachers make changes to the ways they teach so every child can succeed. These young learners are supported in meeting high expectations for their holistic learning and growth.
Rigorous Instruction
Children in pre-kindergarten are active learners who learn through play, exploration, and relationships formed with teachers and peers. Teachers are role models and work together with children to create a classroom culture where children learn to think critically, develop their problem-solving skills, work independently, and experience positive interactions with others.
When teachers have rich interactions with children, make all tools of learning available to them, and maintain a physical environment that is thoughtful and responsive, young learners are motivated to discover new things. Teachers assess their students’ performance, have an open discussion with the students, and have a two-way discussion with the children’s families. This becomes their basis for adjusting their curriculum with respect to the program’s learning goals as stated in the Common Core of the Prekindergarten Foundation. This cycle becomes an ongoing process and allows teachers to respond to what children know and do throughout the year.
Collaborative Teachers
Teachers working in our Private Pre-K program are committed to improving their professional practice and outcomes for children and families. They work together to improve the quality of teaching and learning in the Pre-K classroom. Educators take ownership of their own learning and are supported in developing their own leadership skills.
